Don't need more stuff? Ready to give instead of get?

Some people want to celebrate their big event by inviting friends and family to make gifts to their favorite charity. Freedom from Hunger puts such generosity to work right away bringing self-help services to hardworking women and families all over the world.

Are you getting married? Do you have a Bar Mitzvah coming up? Maybe you’re preparing to celebrate an important anniversary, or moving into a new home. These are all very special occasions and ones that many people want to celebrate with gift giving. But if you're like lots of folks, you already have all the toasters, houseplants and wristwatches you could want. For you, a different kind of gift would have much more meaning.

You can designate Freedom from Hunger as your favorite charity when sending out invitations to your big event. Just let us know, and we will track the gifts, credit them to your event, and acknowledge the total amount with a special letter thanking you for your generosity and that of your guests. If you notify us in advance with a simple phone call or email, we will happily set up an online form right on this website that your friends and family can use to specify that they are giving in your honor. Gifts sent by check or even collected during the party can also be designated to your event.

The chance to help families break free from hunger and poverty is truly the greatest gift of all. And it can be yours.
